I'm in Bad Sooden-Allendorf for rehab and I was recommended the old stick-making shop by a friend, it's really very nice here, unfortunately you couldn't sit in the restaurant during the Corona period, but there is a bar and you can relax ask or order to go, the cake tastes great and is homemade, the price-performance ratio is more than satisfactory, the owner is very friendly and we were warmly welcomed. We were able to take a look into the dining room and were simply thrilled by the rustic and very comfortably furnished room, that's how I imagine a nice evening. The area invites you to go for a walk, wonderful view of the Werra and the surrounding area, we'd love to come back!

So it was really good here. Very original when you come from the big city. Because I like cake, I have to say "hammer cake". Everything homemade. Plum cake .... I fall over, so delicious 😋 !!! The Asbach audience is very old and young. Nice outside terrace. Otherwise: Corona rules or not, own rules apply here ......

A very cozy retreat. Very interesting, the inn and show workshop in the stockmaking village of Lindewerra. A few steps further there is a nice parking space, directly on the Werra, for campers. We will definitely come back here.

Food and cakes Homemade, everything is very tasty, people drive there and convince yourself. Except Thursdays, the rest day is open, the other days are open from 12 noon to open end. Do not miss an old stick making. I speak from experience.

Unfortunately, the cake was all at 16.00 o'clock and there was no alternative to the food, because the kitchen opens again at 17.00 o'clock, not even a piece of Ahle Wurscht and a piece of bread! Too bad, as we had reserved extra with 17 people, you are looking forward to something to eat after a 60 km bike ride and you start the journey home with an empty stomach. But if you do not want to earn money, just leave it!
